Project title: encouraging children to save

Creative genius: avivo, 15

Our first approach was to find out what young people are interested in, We researched on children between the ages of 10 and 12 and found that memorable characters are the best approach, similar to the meerkats or the EDF energy character, 'Zingy'. We created a character named Sir Sampleton. They appeal to younger children by using a cartoon-like style to grab the children's attention. We also included the ability to make your own face for 'Sir Sampleton' which makes children feel part of the bank. We went with a rich, posh and money styled theme to grab younger children's attention as the interest in money and being rich and posh is quite high within the younger age group. the prezi:

Judge's Comments:

Clever because this idea makes a serious point wrapped up in a lighthearted way through the character – namely that being rich is earned and that having lovely things like posh suits or a plasma TV doesn't just happen, you need to save for them
